Avon ideal shade foundation review

I do quite like this foundation, I don't know if it tops my other favourites though. I have the shade light beige which is my colour when I fake tan or get a real tan (not very likely though.) I got it from an Avon catalogue for £8 .

The packaging is nice and expensive looking and the bottle is glass. The only problem is that the lid isn't very secure but I'm wondering whether it is just mine or whether it is how its made.

It sits nicely on the skin, it leaves a satin finish. It has a light to medium coverage, so some imperfections do show through. It sits very nice on the skin and is natural looking.

The down side of this foundation is that it does smell odd. I can't put my finger on the smell but I really don't like it. But when its on your skin you can't smell it so when I'm putting it on I just don't breath in and then its fine. Also because of the smell your skin may have a reaction if you have sensitive skin.

                             After

It doesn't beat my favourite foundations but it is nearly there. I would recommend it if you aren't too bothered about strong smells then maybe you would like it but I wouldn't say it was amazing it is just mediocre.

Favourite moisturising nude lipsticks

Now because I have pale skin and I find it really hard to find nude lipsticks that will suit me and won't make me look dead, I never really go for a nude nude, I go for more of a pinky nude because I find that it suits me best. Here are my three favourites.

T to B (17, Mac, Natural collection)

Firstly 17 mirror shine lipstick in beehive. This lipstick is super moisturising and ultra shiny so you don't need a gloss, it hasn't got amazing staying power but that's because it is so moisturising.

Then next it is beloved Mac's lipstick in Hue. This is beautiful and by far my favourite, it would suit probably every skintone but it looks great on pale skin. It is moisturising and it has resonable good staying power.

Then finally, this lipstick was very popular about a year ago and I can understand why, it is the natural collection moisture shine in apple blossom. Again this one is super moisturising but it is a very pale pink so it can look a little dead if you apply too much but if you apply it sparingly it looks amazing. It is like the name suggests in moisturising but doesn't have very good staying power but for £1.99 you can't really go wrong.

I hope you found this helpful and if you have any good suggestions for moisturising pinky nude lipstick it would be great if you left a comment below, letting me know. :)

Nails:Rimmel caramel cupcake

Rimmel London 60 seconds 500 caramel cupcake is a really pretty nude nail varnish and it dries really fast which is a bonus. I also really like the brush because it isn't to thin or too thick it is just the right size for my nails.

I will definitely be trying some more Rimmel 60 second nail polish. If you have any favourites be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Rimmel match perfection foundation review

I really like this foundation it is a great all round foundation. My colour is 010 light porcelain, this is when I am my lightest shade. It is the lightest shade they do and it is very light. This would be great if you have very pale skin and find it hard to find foundations that match your skin. I got mine from superdrug for £6.99.

The packaging is nice it is a glass bottle and it hold 30ml. I know this is odd to talk about but the pump is also very nice it is easy to control so you get just the right amount you need. It lasts well on the skin, it stays looking perfect for about 7 hours on my skin. It aslo has spf18 which personally I love but it does give you a bit of a white cast in photos.

It sits lovely on the skin and looks very natural. It gives a medium to buildable coverage and it definetely doesn't look cakey. It is quite a dewy finish it says that it is a 'Light reflecting radiance foundation' I do agree, it makes you look really healthy and glowy. Apparently this is because it has Sapphire radiance in it do give you an illuminating glow.

Basically it gives a medium buildable coverage, which gives a natural dewy finish, that makes you look healthy and glowy. They have a great colour range and shade 010 light porcelain is great for people with super pale skin. Also it is only £6.99 which is a great bargain. It is right up there with my favourite foundations.

Sleek stiletto matte lipstick swatch

I got this in a glossybox I think that is was decembers and I thought I would show you the colour because it is lovely. It is a matte red and it is pretty moisturising for a matte lipstick which is great.

I will definetly be buying some more sleek lipsticks soon because this one is pigmented and moisturising. If you have any colour suggestions be sure to let me know.

Sunday scents: Avon little black dress

I have got the body mist today to show you but it also comes in a perfume and a deodrant. The bottle holds 100ml but I do find that body sprays do go down faster than perfume because the smell doesn't stay around for as long. I would describe the smell as sexy and sophisticated. It is quite musky and fruity. I would say that it is one of those perfumes that can be used as a sexy day scent and as a lighter night scent.

I would definetly recommend this scent. You can choose which type you want, body mist, perfume or deodrant. It is a lovely and it smells even better throughout the day.
I hope you enjoyed sunday scents.

Miracle face product?!?

This is the Dr Jart BB cream Water Fuse. Now I have tried several western beauty balms before and I wasn't really that impressed and I didn't understand the hype. Now i do. Dr. Jart also do other types of BB creams. I have the one that is for dry to normal skin , Water Fuse. I have a decently sized sample of this product which I got in my october glossybox. I have used it for over a few months now and I absolutely love it.

The product is decsribed as a oil free hydrating moisturiser, water holding system, sunscreen and aloe and hides uneven skin tone and blemishes. I would agree. It gives a natural but almost flawless coverage, I don't know how it is done but my skin looked amazing after I applied it and my skin has actually got better whilst i have been using this instead of foundation.

I do still have to cover up my bigger blemishes with a concealer the concealer I have been using is the Witch concealer stick in 00 ivory. It leaves a a lovely healthy, dewy glow. I found it to be a little too dewy somedays especially when I applied a moisturiser underneath, so to mattify a little and give me a little extra coverage I dusted over a bit of Bare Minerals mineral foundation. I use this on good skin days or days that I just want to look more natural.

It also has spf25 which is great, it hardly leaves any white cast in flash photos basically nothing, definitely not as much as you would think for a product with spf25. I would definitely go as far as saying that this is a miracle face product because it makes your skin look better whilst your wearing it and after. It isn't as much coverage as you would want on a night out probably but if you have reasonable good skin and want a product that isn't bad for your skin, thats actually good for your skin and makes you look healthy and more put together then I would definitely recommend this for you.

What do you think of BB creams? Do you think they're worth the hype?

Sunkissed skin for the new year

Recently I have been wanting a bit more colour in my face but I haven't wanted to fully fake tan. So I was searching through my draws and I found this Olay complete care everyday sunshine in light sunkissed glow. It is exactly what I was looking for, it gives me a lovely natural glow which doesn't look orange in the slightest. It is white and I use it after my toner, before my moisturiser.

I gently exfoliate everyday, so I apply it everyday, but if you didn't exfoliate everyday, then it would build up quite a deep natural tan. It also smells lovely and sweet. Make sure you also blend down your neck so you don't get a line.

Do you have any good products for giving a sunkissed glow to the skin?
I hope you found this helpful.

Christmas Sales Haul

Yesterday I went to the Trafford centre and it was soo busy I could barely hear myself think but I did manage to get a few goodies that I thought I would show you.
(L to R) Mac Hue, Philosophy eggnog, The Body Shop eyeshadow,
The Body Shop hand cream, Liz Earle skin tonic.
L to R (The Body Shop eyeshadow shade 15,
 Mac Hue lipstick)
Firstly I went into The Body Shop and got a eyeshadow for only £2.50 in the shade 15, it is a frosty taupe silvery colour which isn't extremely pigmented but it is usable.

I also got a vanilla hand cream for £2.00, which smells lovely. I already have quite a few hand creams and I didn't really need another but I had to get this because it was vanilla and it was in the sale, I just couldn't say no.

Then I went into Debenhams and got a Philosphosy shower gel in eggnog and it smells AMAZING, and it was 50% off, absolute bargain at £7.00.

I also went into Topshop and picked up some khaki coloured jeans these are the Baxter jeans so they aren't as soft as the Leigh jeans but they are still pretty soft and they were reduced from £40 to £15, and I love them.

Then I went to Selfridges and got a Mac lipstick in Hue which is a glaze finish, I don't have a lot of mac lipsticks, I have two (now three) so I thought I should get the staple colour that everybody seems to have. I'm glad I did because it is a great everyday colour. Unfortunately mac didn't have a sale so it was £14.00.

Finally then I went to John Lewis and got a Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic because I have recently ran out so I needed to buy another. Again they didn't have a sale either so it was the original £12.50.

I hoped you liked my little haul and I hope you all have a very happy new year!!!

A easier wearable red lip

I have already done a post talking about click here Christmas red lips but then I thought I would talk about a sheerer way to wear a red lip and my favourite lip products for that are :
L to R(The Body Shop, Blistex, Wild 4 Beauty, Nars)
This is probably the sheerest way to wear a red lip it is The body Shops born lippy in raspberry it just gives you a healthy red lip look.
(The packaging does get scratched in your handbag)

The next one is another tinted lip balm it is Blistex lip brilliance it really moisturises your lips and gives you a bit more of a red lip.

This next one is WILD 4 beauty tinted lip glaze in cherry. It smells lovely like that fake cherry smell which I personally love. It is a deep cherry colour in the pot but on the lips it is a pretty wearable red.

Lastly is a Nars lipgloss in scandal. This is one of Nars's sheerer formula's it isn't sticky at all like all Nars lipglosses and it is very wearable.

I hope you have a very safe and merry christmas wearing your wearable red lip.
