Christmas Sales Haul

Yesterday I went to the Trafford centre and it was soo busy I could barely hear myself think but I did manage to get a few goodies that I thought I would show you.
(L to R) Mac Hue, Philosophy eggnog, The Body Shop eyeshadow,
The Body Shop hand cream, Liz Earle skin tonic.
L to R (The Body Shop eyeshadow shade 15,
 Mac Hue lipstick)
Firstly I went into The Body Shop and got a eyeshadow for only £2.50 in the shade 15, it is a frosty taupe silvery colour which isn't extremely pigmented but it is usable.

I also got a vanilla hand cream for £2.00, which smells lovely. I already have quite a few hand creams and I didn't really need another but I had to get this because it was vanilla and it was in the sale, I just couldn't say no.

Then I went into Debenhams and got a Philosphosy shower gel in eggnog and it smells AMAZING, and it was 50% off, absolute bargain at £7.00.

I also went into Topshop and picked up some khaki coloured jeans these are the Baxter jeans so they aren't as soft as the Leigh jeans but they are still pretty soft and they were reduced from £40 to £15, and I love them.

Then I went to Selfridges and got a Mac lipstick in Hue which is a glaze finish, I don't have a lot of mac lipsticks, I have two (now three) so I thought I should get the staple colour that everybody seems to have. I'm glad I did because it is a great everyday colour. Unfortunately mac didn't have a sale so it was £14.00.

Finally then I went to John Lewis and got a Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic because I have recently ran out so I needed to buy another. Again they didn't have a sale either so it was the original £12.50.

I hoped you liked my little haul and I hope you all have a very happy new year!!!

A easier wearable red lip

I have already done a post talking about click here Christmas red lips but then I thought I would talk about a sheerer way to wear a red lip and my favourite lip products for that are :
L to R(The Body Shop, Blistex, Wild 4 Beauty, Nars)
This is probably the sheerest way to wear a red lip it is The body Shops born lippy in raspberry it just gives you a healthy red lip look.
(The packaging does get scratched in your handbag)

The next one is another tinted lip balm it is Blistex lip brilliance it really moisturises your lips and gives you a bit more of a red lip.

This next one is WILD 4 beauty tinted lip glaze in cherry. It smells lovely like that fake cherry smell which I personally love. It is a deep cherry colour in the pot but on the lips it is a pretty wearable red.

Lastly is a Nars lipgloss in scandal. This is one of Nars's sheerer formula's it isn't sticky at all like all Nars lipglosses and it is very wearable.

I hope you have a very safe and merry christmas wearing your wearable red lip.

Christmas red lips

Now as you all know it is nearly Christmas and along with lots of other festive things I also associate a red lip with Christmas. So I thought I would show you my favourite red lip products.
L to R (Gift, YSL, Mac, Nars, Avon, Benefit)
This first one by far has the nicest packaging, I did get this as a gift though so unfortunately I don't know the exact name but I do remember something to do with Paloma Picasso like a promotion saying it was her signature red lip but don't quote me on that. It is a really pretty pinky red.

This is Yves Saint Laurent gloss volupte lipstick in 3. As the name suggests it is very glossy but I personally love that, it is pretty sheer so it gives a nice red flush to the lips.
(My sister gave me a sample so that is
why the packaging is slimmer)

This isn't exactly the classic red that everyone associates with Christmas but I absolutely love this lipstick so I had to include it. It is a orangey coraly red. It is MACs frost lipstick in CB96 and although people usually say frost formula's are drying I haven't found this one drying at all.

Now this one isn't a lipstick but it is as pigmented as a lipstick, if more. Nars lipgloss in bloodwork is probably my favourite red lip to wear and as you all know nars lipglosses aren't sticky at all. It is a beautiful blood red.

Avon ultra colour rich in country rose is really nice, it is moisturising and goes on smoothly and very pigmented. It also has a very nice fruity smell. It is as the name suggests a rose colour.

(This is a sample that is why the tube is smaller)
Benefits benetint is great if you are worried when eating your Christmas roast you will get your lipstick all over your face, because it is a lip stain. It isn't very pigmented but if you apply a few layers then you can get a good enough red lip colour.

I hope you have a very merry christmas whilst wearing your beautiful red lips. Also if you don't feel as brave to wear a red lips I do have another post click here A easier wearable red lip.

August favourites

Well another month has ended, it has gone very quickly. Again I haven't got too many this month. But I have got a few and a new foundation, which I have been trying and loving.
(L to R)Rimmel wake me up foundation, Ted baker body souffle,
MUA palette, Clinique high impact mascara,
Avon colortrend lipgloss, Mac lipstick,
 Eucerin redness relief moisturiser

Rimmel wake me up foundation
I really like this foundation, it really does brighten up your complextion and make you look wide awake.
Ted baker body souffle
My body has been feeling a little dry at the moment and I don't know why but this smells really nice and moisturises my body well.
MUA heaven and earth palette
I have been using the lighter shades of this palette and I have been wearing them nearly everyday I love this palette and it is only £4.
Clinique high impact mascara
I have a little trial size of this mascara, it isn't amazing but I do really like it to just give your lashes a bit more definition.
Avon colortrend lipgloss in orange crush
I have recently just done a review on these lipgloss they are really nice. My favourite at the moment is orange crush. They also smell really nice, like cakes.
Mac lipstick in CB96
I went to Cheshire oaks about a week ago and I picked up this lipstick. I have never heard anything about this lipstick before. It is a really pretty red coral colour, it is a frost finish.
Eucerin daily redness relief moisturiser
I can't tell you if it has helped with my redness yet because I have only used it for a few weeks but I will hopefully do a review soon.

 (Clinique high impact mascara)
(Mac CB96 swatch)
Avon colortrend lipgloss, the top one
is orange crush

I hope you liked my August favourites. I am so upset that even though it hasn't been that hot in England, it is going to start getting even colder.

Bourjois healthy mix battle

Which ones better the healthy mix original or the healthy mix serum?
As you can see I have nearly used up the Bourjois healthy mix foundation original. I absolutely love this foundation it is very nice and the Bourjois foundation shades are amazing for pale skin people like me (I have the Serum in shade 52 and the Original in shade 51). So when I found out that they were bringing out a healthy mix serum I was very tempted, at first I did hold back  for a little while but eventually I just couldn't hold back any longer.

(L to R)serum, original

Coverage?
The Bourjois healthy mix serum I would say has a light to medium coverage it is a very nice everyday foundation.
The Bourjois healthy mix has a medium to buildable coverage this used to be my everyday foundation but now that my skin is getting a little bit better I have been liking a lighter coverage for day time.
Finish?
They both say that they leave a semi matte finish. The Serum has a satin finish very natural looking. The   Original has a more dewy finish not overly dewy but definitely more dewy than the Serum. But again still natural looking.
Texture?
The Serum has a very light texture and it feels like your not even wearing makeup. The Original has a slightly thicker texture but it is still light on the skin.
Lasting power?
The Serum last for about up to 8 hours looking perfect. The Original last for about up to 9 hours looking perfect. I do use a primer and foundations do tend to last on my skin quite well anyway.
Packaging?
The Serum has a very nice glass bottle which I do think looks more expensive. The original has a plastic bottle and a black lid which I do think looks sophisticated.
Pumps?
I know that this is a odd one but I thought i would share my opinion. The Serum has a very nice pump because it distributes just the right amount of product. The Original pump is a little bit harder to control.
Which one is better?
It really depends on what you are looking for in terms of coverage. If you are looking for a natural everyday foundation I would recommend the serum. If you are looking for a medium coverage foundation that will cover most of your imperfections but still looks quite natural then I would recommend the Original.

Overall my favourite is the Healthy mix serum it is my kind of everyday foundation that looks natural but still covers. But I do still love the Healthy mix original for say if I was having a bad skin day or sometimes I just want a fuller coverage. I love them both but I love the serum more.

I hope this has helped you decide which Bourjois healthy mix foundation you want or hopefully you at least understand the differences between them.

Saturday scents: Harajuku lovers G

Today for Saturday scents I have chosen Gwen Stefani's Harujuku lovers G perfume. This one is from the Wicked collection. They retail for £10.99 for 10ml at fragrance direct.

G is a fruity floral fragrance. It has top notes of apple, peach and pineapple. The mid notes of watermelon, butterfly blush, peony. Base notes of raspberry, musk and water aqueous.

I think that the bottles are super cute and pretty. I have two already I have G and love both from the summer collection. They are great collectable items. I hope you are enjoying Saturday scents.

Avon colortrend read my lips lipgloss review

I have already done a review on the Avon glazwear lipglosses. To see review click here Colortrend is avons budget range, the lipglosses are very good value for money. They retail for £3.75 but at the moment it is buy 1 get one for £1. I think that the packaging is alright but I do think that it does have a cheapy look to it.
(T to B)Watermelon ice, Orange crush, Start up pink
(L to R)Orange crush, Watermelon ice, Start up pink
I have watermelon ice, orange crush and start up pink. I do really like these colours but I must say that the swatches on the brochures aren't very accurate. The colours aren't extremely pigmented but they do have pretty good colour pay off.
(Watermelon ice)
(Orange crush)
(Start up pink)
Watermelon ice is a icey pink, orange crush is a coraly colour and start up pink is a dark pink they are all really pretty colours my favourite is orange crush. These lip glosses aren't sticky at all I think Avon must have some special recipe for none sticky lipglosses because every lipgloss I have tried from them it hasn't been sticky at all.I would definetly recommened these lipglosses.

Have you tried these lipglosses, what do you think? Also it would be great if you wanted to follow my blog on bloglovin or your google account. There is a button for both on the right that you just have to click and it will let you follow my blog. Thanks!!
