Chanel vitalumiere aqua foundation review

I am always on the hunt for the perfect foundation. The foundation that will look natural, glowing, good coverage, good colour match and won't break me out. So after reading many mixed review, I finally splurged and bought the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation for £31. My shade is B10 which is the lightest shade (as always.)

The bottle does look quite small compared to the average foundation bottle but I checked and it is 30ml like most foundations. The bottle is plastic which in my opinion is great because it means that I won't have to worry if I accidentally drop it.Even though a glass bottle does have that expensive feeling about it.

I have dry to normal skin and the foundation is great because it doesn't stick to any dry patches and make them more noticeable. I would say though that if you have oily skin you will have to set it with a powder or setting spray to make sure it lasts as long as you want it to. I don't use powder often but when I do I use Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. The staying power lasts for about 7 hours on me looking perfect but I can get away with 8 and that is without a powder or setting spray (with a primer.)

The consistency is very light and easy to blend. Chanel advertises it as a second skin effect, now if I had clearer skin I think i might even agree.Which brings me onto my other point, the coverage is light to medium coverage and it is buildable. But really after paying £31 I don't want to waste the product by building up the coverage. But this is a very nice everyday foundation, but if you have any blemishes I would say that you will probably need to use your concealer to fully cover the blemishes.

So basically the foundation is a great everyday foundation with spf 15 and it is my favourite foundation at the moment. But if you like a full coverage foundation and don't like feeling like your not wearing any makeup. Then I wouldn't really recommend this to you. But if you are looking for a light coverage foundation, that looks natural, that gives you a nice healthy glow and that covers minor imperfections then this is definitely the foundation for you. So I am still in search for that  perfect foundation but this just missed the mark. If only the coverage was a little higher then it would in my opinion be the perfect foundation.
