Avon ideal shade foundation review

I do quite like this foundation, I don't know if it tops my other favourites though. I have the shade light beige which is my colour when I fake tan or get a real tan (not very likely though.) I got it from an Avon catalogue for £8 .

The packaging is nice and expensive looking and the bottle is glass. The only problem is that the lid isn't very secure but I'm wondering whether it is just mine or whether it is how its made.

It sits nicely on the skin, it leaves a satin finish. It has a light to medium coverage, so some imperfections do show through. It sits very nice on the skin and is natural looking.

The down side of this foundation is that it does smell odd. I can't put my finger on the smell but I really don't like it. But when its on your skin you can't smell it so when I'm putting it on I just don't breath in and then its fine. Also because of the smell your skin may have a reaction if you have sensitive skin.
                          Before
                             After

It doesn't beat my favourite foundations but it is nearly there. I would recommend it if you aren't too bothered about strong smells then maybe you would like it but I wouldn't say it was amazing it is just mediocre.

Sunkissed skin for the new year

Recently I have been wanting a bit more colour in my face but I haven't wanted to fully fake tan. So I was searching through my draws and I found this Olay complete care everyday sunshine in light sunkissed glow. It is exactly what I was looking for, it gives me a lovely natural glow which doesn't look orange in the slightest. It is white and I use it after my toner, before my moisturiser.

I gently exfoliate everyday, so I apply it everyday, but if you didn't exfoliate everyday, then it would build up quite a deep natural tan. It also smells lovely and sweet. Make sure you also blend down your neck so you don't get a line.

Do you have any good products for giving a sunkissed glow to the skin?
I hope you found this helpful.

Getting ready for summer!!!

Now about 3 days ago, where I live in the UK. We had a little glimmer of sunlight and it got me in the mood to fake tan. I am very pale and I don't get a natural tan easily, so I usually just fake it. I've tried a few fake tans before, some were successful and some I ended up looking like a carrot! Then 3 days ago I found my St moriz and I remembered how much I love it.

Now the packaging isn't as nice as St tropez but the product inside is lovely. I have the mousse which isn't my favourite formulation of fake tan but still nice.

I use a tanning mitt to apply, to avoid orange hands and stop streaks. I am in love with the colour it is sooo natural but still gives a good tan. The only down side to this product is the smell. It is the strongest fake tan smell I have ever tried (very biscuity.)

The best thing about this product is that it is around £3. I got mine from home bargains, you can also get it from savers, fragrance direct and I have also seen it on eBay.
