Liz Earle skincare review

I love buying mini kits to test out before buying the full size of things because you get everything that that you would need in you're daily skincare routine. Before I bought this I had already tried the Liz Earle cleanse and polish and I love it. But I had never tried the toner, moisturiser or mask, so I thought that I would give them a whirl. It got the dry/sensitive essentials try-me kit which costs £23.25.
(left to right) cleanser, toner, moisturiser, mask

Cleanse & Polish cleanser 30ml
I already had this and it is amazing as I am sure you will all know because everyone talks about it and it has won so many awards. It gets rid of makeup beautifully and gives you a nice gently clean.
Instant boost skin tonic 50ml
I was actually really surprised by this product I wasn't really to fussed about toners before i bought this but it is really nice it just makes your skin feel more refreshed and clean after you have cleansed. I don't think it is anything spectacular but it is very nice and doesn't irritate or dry out my skin.
Skin repair moisturiser dry/sensitive 15ml
This is a very nice moisturising moisturiser that won't irritate your skin. But personally I don't think that it is worth the money. So if you are just looking for a nice simple moisturiser then I would recommend this but I think that say a Simple moisturiser would do the job just as well for less.
Intensive nourishing treatment mask 15ml
I was actually quite disappointed with this product I just felt that it didn't do much for my skin and wasn't even that moisturising. It is supposed to put some moisture back into your skin but i fell that it just wasn't that good.

Cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser 100ml is £12.25, Instant boost skin tonic 200ml £12.25, Skin repair moisturiser 50ml £18.25 and Intensive nourishing treatment mask 50ml £13.50.

On there own i would definitely recommend the cleanser and toner but the other two i would say that you could get better elsewhere.
I hope this helped.

Mini haul

A few days ago I went to Boots and I picked up a few things. I also picked up one thing from superdrug. So I thought I would share with you what I got.

Boots
Natural collection body spray £2
I bought passionfruit and ice musk. I really like passionfruit but I'm not a big fan of the ice musk. To see my full review click here Natural collection body spray review
 Batiste floral dry shampoo £2.99
I love batiste dry shampoo's and I was going on holiday. So I thought I would get a travel size.
Natural collection eyeshadow £1.99
I love these cheap and cheerful eyeshadows, so I just had to pick two more up. I got willow and seashell. Willow is quite sheer but gives a very pretty pearly pink colour and seashell is a pretty shimmery white highlight colour. To see my review click here Natural collection eyeshadow review
Soap & glory a great kisser coconut £5
I already have juicy peach and I love it so I thought I would try the coconut one as well. To see my review of the juicy peach click here Soap&glory A great kisser review
No7 hot cloth cleanser £9.95
I had a No7voucher and I was running out of my Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I will hopefully be doing a full review soon.

Superdrug
QVC eyelash curlers £2.99
I just thought that I would try some new eyelash curlers. I have only tried them once and there good but not as good as my Nars eyelash curlers.

It is only a mini haul but I hope you liked it. The no7 hot cloth cleanser review is coming soon.

June favourites

Again this month I only have a few little gems. I still love my Chanel vitalumiere aqua foundation but I have been some days changing it with a different one so I only included that one.

(Left to right) No7 primer, Bourjois hms foundation, Harajuku lovers perfume, Sure deodorant, MUA eyeshadow, 2 natural collection lipsticks, Avon pearly shine, eos lip balm, Eucerin moisturiser.

No7 shine free primer
My skin has been getting a little bit oilier lately because it does in summer. So I have been going for more of a matte finish with my foundation. So I have been using this and I love it. It doesn't make you look cakey it just makes your foundation look really natural and not oily.
Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation
I really like this foundation it looks really natural and makes you look really healthy. I will be doing a full review soon.
Harajuku lovers G perfume
I really like this fragrance it is really nice it smells of coconut with a little hint of musk. It is a lovely summery scent.
Sure bright fragrance collection deodorant
I know this is sort of an odd one but i really have been loving this anti perspirant. It stops the sweat and has a really nice floral scent.
MUA matte eyeshadow
I have this in shade 17 it is nothing special but it is just a really nice natural everyday eyeshadow and it is only £1.
Natural Collection moisture shine lipstick
I have this in Apple blossom and rose bud. Rose bud is a really pretty rose colour and apple blossom is a pale pink nude. I love rose bud on its own but apple blossom really washes me out. So I mix them together and I love the colour.
Avon nail experts pearl shine
This isn't really a nail polish as such because it is so sheer it is just supposed to really give your nails a pretty healthy shine. And that is exactly what it does it just makes your nails look really healthy.
Eos lip balm strawberry sorbet
I am in the UK so they don't actually sell eos products over here but it was my birthday this month so as a birthday present I got 2 in a pack strawberry sorbet and passionfruit. I love both of them but I just chose one to show you. It smells really nice and it is really moisturising. If you are in the UK you can get them from eBay.
Eucerin anti redness night cream
If you have read my Origins mega mushroom kit review I said that I was still on the hunt for a anti redness cream that will get rid of my red cheeks and stop me from blushing for no reason. I don't know if this has done anything yet because i haven't used it for long enough but i will definitely keep using it and will keep you updated.
(Bottom to top) Natural collection lipstick rose bud, apple blossom,
apple blossom and rose bud mixed, MUA eyeshadow 17
Avon nail expert pearl shine

As you can probably tell I have been going for a very natural look this month. I just really love the naturally pretty look for summer.

Origins Mega Mushroom kit review

I really wanted to try the mega mushroom skin relief face cream. This is supposed to help get rid of sensitivity and redness. So i went to a CCO and find this little trial pack. So I thought i would give it a whirl. In the pack there is a cleanser, toner, moisturiser and an advanced face serum.

(left to right) cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser
Mega mushroom skin relief face cleanser
The face cleanser I have only tried a few times but I stopped using it because i felt like it just wasn't doing anything for my skin. I usually use the Liz Earle hot cloth cleaner and wasn't as good as it so I just couldn't carry on using it.It is a foaming cleanser and it did kind of dry my skin out a bit.

Mega mushroom skin relief soothing facial lotion 50ml
The toner I must say is very nice I do think that it has helped with my blackheads and just overall helping clean and clear out my skin. But for the redness I think that it does help with say a spot that is very inflamed and red then this does help with reducing the redness but my red cheeks i don't think that it helped with that at all.

Mega mushroom skin relief soothing face cream
The moisturiser I do really like this was the while reason why i bought the pack in the first place. It moisturises really well and really hydrates your skin without it felling greasy and i found that it did really sink into the skin pretty fast to. But it is kind of the same as the toner it helped with red spots and reduces that kind of redness. But it hasn't got rid of my very red cheeks or stopped my blushing.

Mega mushroom skin relief advanced face serum
The serum i didn't use much because i think that this is supposed to be used when say you have just woken up and there is a very red inflamed spot on your face and you want to reduce that quickly then this will do the job. It really did do the job I had a very red spot on day out of nowhere and I popped this on and then put my makeup on and then when i took my makeup off I was so surprised that the redness had actually nearly all gone. I then put it on again at night and in the morning it wasn't red anymore.
(left to right) cleanser, toner, moisturiser, serum

So overall if you are prone to getting red spot and you want to keep them at bay then i definitely would recommend this set. But if you have very red cheeks or have rosacea i wouldn't recommend this because personally it didn't do anything for my extremely red cheeks. I would recommend the toner and moisturiser on there own because they were very nice if you are just looking for a simple moisturiser that is good for your skin and just a simple toner that will make your skin feel clean and fresh then I would recommend these products individually.

I am still on the hunt for a product that will get rid of my red cheeks and hopefully stop me blushing for no reason. If you have any recommendations please let me know. I hope you found this helpful and thanks for reading.

May favourites 2012 !!!!

I haven't loved too many new things this month but there are a few little gems that I want to share with you. Here is an overview of the products.

St Moriz
Firstly I have been loving my St moriz to give me a lovely summers glow. If you want to see a full review then click here.Getting ready for summer!!!
Garnier BB cream
Now when the Garnier BB cream first came out there was a lot of hype about it. So I went and picked it up and tried it and I must say I hated it and I still do (on it's own). Now you're probably thinking well why then did you put it in you're monthly favourites. Well, because I have been fake tanning I have been a little bit darker and I didn't have a foundation that matched. So I mixed my foundation with this and I works wonderfully. So I wouldn't say go out and buy this but if you have it and want a use for it, then if it is a natural or fake tan then you can make you foundation the right shade for you.
Batiste dry shampoo
I absolutely love batiste dry shampoo's and recently I picked up the coconut and exotic one. It works exactly the same as every other Batiste dry shampoo but the reason why this is my favourite is because it smells amazing.
Chanel vitalumiere aqua
I won't say too much about my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation because I am still loving it and if you want to see a full review then just click here Chanel vitalumiere aqua review
elf twinkle nail polish
I have just posted a blog post of Barry M's 309 with this elf nail polish in twinkle and it reminded me of how much I love sparkly nail varnish, this one especially.
Marc Jacobs daisy
I love Marc Jacobs daisy perfume but because I fell in love with the Boots Natural Collection body sprays. I kind of forgot about it. But I have fallen in love again.
Accesorize eyeshadow
This is the only Accesorize eyeshadow I have but I will definitely be buying more.Mine is in shade 7 golden caramel. This one is just a lovely shimmery everyday natural, sweep over the lid kind of colour. LOVE IT.

Maybelline color sensational lip tint
Then finally sometimes this month I just haven't been in the mood for lipgloss or lipstick. Then I found my Maybeline color sensational lip pen in 105 Tender rose. It is very pretty and it lasts for ages.

So these are my may favourites I hope you liked it. Hopefully the sun will stay a little longer for June.

How I get rid of spots quickly

Panoxyl acnegel is a product I just could not live without. I used it when I used to have a big problem with spots and it really did make a massive difference.I have never actually had acne but I have had problems with spots. Using this in my skincare routine really helped clear my skin. Now I do still get spots, especially around that time of the month. So whenever i felt a spot coming on or I have a spot. I pop this on and by morning it has gone or has significantly reduced in size.

I have it in 5% benzoyl peroxide but I would recommend 2.5% for your first try because it is quite drying and if you only get spot occasionally it will be a shock how strong it is. It is a clear gel that you rub into the skin. I apply it over my moisturiser because I have dry to normal skin, so that way it isn't so drying.

I get mine from Boots pharmacy and I think that you can just get it from just about any pharmacy. I hope this helps you !!!!

Aussie miracle hair insurance review

I have gone through 3 of these Aussie miracle hair insurance spray because I absolutely love it. It contains jojoba seed oil which is a great moisturiser. It smells lovely I always get complements when I have this in my hair. It really does detangle the hair and helps your brush get rid of the knots.

Now I don't know for sure if it does protect my hair but I do know that I have hardly any split ends and obviously it could be down to do with the other products in my haircare routine but when I do run out and I don't use it for a few days until I get another. My hair doesn't feel as nourished and I do find a few split ends.

I put this in my hair when it is damp, after I have washed it. You don't wash this out, you live it in and then blow dry your hair or let your hair air dry. I definetly would recommended this product. You can get this from Boots, superdrug and I've seen it a few different supermarkets. It costs £4.49 and there usually on offer for 3 for £10 on Aussie products. I just love this product !!!!!

Liz Earle makeup

Yesterday, I found this in the letter box. I started looking inside and it got me quite excited. Liz Earle has started a makeup range! I absolutely love Liz Earle skincare and I hope I will love the makeup too. I have heard of the sheer skin tint before and I have read some good reviews. I think that it was her first makeup product she released. Anyway, here are some pictures of the new makeup products.

The products do look very nice. Hopefully in a few days I will be able to get my hands on some from John Lewis.

Have you tried any Liz Earle makeup? What did you think?

Little disclaimer : This post is not sponsored and I am not affiliated with Liz Earle. I just wanted to tell you about these products.

Getting ready for summer!!!

Now about 3 days ago, where I live in the UK. We had a little glimmer of sunlight and it got me in the mood to fake tan. I am very pale and I don't get a natural tan easily, so I usually just fake it. I've tried a few fake tans before, some were successful and some I ended up looking like a carrot! Then 3 days ago I found my St moriz and I remembered how much I love it.

Now the packaging isn't as nice as St tropez but the product inside is lovely. I have the mousse which isn't my favourite formulation of fake tan but still nice.

I use a tanning mitt to apply, to avoid orange hands and stop streaks. I am in love with the colour it is sooo natural but still gives a good tan. The only down side to this product is the smell. It is the strongest fake tan smell I have ever tried (very biscuity.)

The best thing about this product is that it is around £3. I got mine from home bargains, you can also get it from savers, fragrance direct and I have also seen it on eBay.

Nails: NARS schiap nail polish

I'm not really a big fan of pink usually, but recently I have really been loving it more and more. So when I rediscovered this nail polish, I couldn't resist putting it on. Schiap is a dark fuchsia pink and I love it.
I have very brittle nails so I have to use a base coat or else my nail varnish tends to look terrible. I just use the Boots own base coat and it works fine.
Please excuse how messy they are, I was in a rush and well there wasn't any time to tidy them up.

Natural collection body spray

Before I found these, I never really thought much of body sprays and always seemed to reach for perfume. But then when my friend gave me the apple and lime one, I just fell in love. So I just had to go to Boots and get more. I got vanilla and mango and papaya for £2 each. Then my granny for christmas got me a passionfruit kit and that had a travel size body spray. YAY!!!

The vanilla body spray smells lovely and sweet. Apple and lime is a nice fresh clean smell, perfect for spring. Mango and papaya is an amazing tropical scent, this is my go to scent for summer. The passionfruit one is a beautiful fruity fragrance. Now we all know that body sprays don't last as long as perfumes. Sadly these are no exception but I wasn't really expecting it to, I mean it was only £2. But never the less I do really like them. They're lovely for when you don't want a really strong scent but still want a noticeable lovely fragrance that lasts for quite a while. Or just great to use to freshen up throughout the day.
