Car boot sale finds

Now it is a pain having to get up early on a Sunday morning to go to a car boot sale, when all you want to do is have that long lie in, but it is worth it when you find some great bargains. I must admit it was a bit of a shock to the system this Sunday so I didn't get there as early as I would have liked. And you know what they say the early bird catches the worm!! But I did still find a few real treasures.

I am always on the hunt for some makeup bargains but this time was a bit of a disappointment but that's what you get with a car boot. However, there were some amazing old cameras that I just couldn't leave. I absolutely love old fashioned cameras, I've got a growing collection of about 10. I know I'm a bit obsessed haha!! The first camera i picked up for only £4 was a Zenit EM olympic edition camera, isn't it beautiful? It works with a 35mm film and has a Pentacon 1.8/50 lens, not that I know what that means though haha!!

The next camera I got is a Brownie box camera this just makes me think I'm in the 1800s or something. This was £2.50 which I think is an ok price. It doesn't have a lens and I am pretty sure they don't make film for this anymore and that if there is any still around it will be pretty expensive. But it is absolutely beautiful and it will look very pretty and vintage on display somewhere. It actually still has film in the camera which is used and I am tempted to try and find a place that will develop the film so I can have a look at the pictures. The film is probably out of date now but wouldn't it be great it they could be developed.

The final thing I got was an absolute bargain it was only 20p for this Clinique eyeshadow quad. The colours are really pretty I especially love the shades gold rush and daybreak because I think they will really complement my blue eyes and make them stand out. The only disappointing shade is strawberry because it doesn't have much pigmentation but I rarely wear pink on my eyes anyway and for 20p you really can't go wrong. They have a lovely sheen to them which I think will look beautiful on the eyes and making your brush wet and then applying them will make them look really nice and metallic.

I am soo glad car boot season is back because I can't wait to pick up some more amazing bargains. I hope you liked having a look at the treasures I picked up last Sunday and I would love it if you would tell me the best thing you've ever picked up at a car boot sale.

May favourites 2012 !!!!

I haven't loved too many new things this month but there are a few little gems that I want to share with you. Here is an overview of the products.

St Moriz
Firstly I have been loving my St moriz to give me a lovely summers glow. If you want to see a full review then click here.Getting ready for summer!!!
Garnier BB cream
Now when the Garnier BB cream first came out there was a lot of hype about it. So I went and picked it up and tried it and I must say I hated it and I still do (on it's own). Now you're probably thinking well why then did you put it in you're monthly favourites. Well, because I have been fake tanning I have been a little bit darker and I didn't have a foundation that matched. So I mixed my foundation with this and I works wonderfully. So I wouldn't say go out and buy this but if you have it and want a use for it, then if it is a natural or fake tan then you can make you foundation the right shade for you.
Batiste dry shampoo
I absolutely love batiste dry shampoo's and recently I picked up the coconut and exotic one. It works exactly the same as every other Batiste dry shampoo but the reason why this is my favourite is because it smells amazing.
Chanel vitalumiere aqua
I won't say too much about my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation because I am still loving it and if you want to see a full review then just click here Chanel vitalumiere aqua review
elf twinkle nail polish
I have just posted a blog post of Barry M's 309 with this elf nail polish in twinkle and it reminded me of how much I love sparkly nail varnish, this one especially.
Marc Jacobs daisy
I love Marc Jacobs daisy perfume but because I fell in love with the Boots Natural Collection body sprays. I kind of forgot about it. But I have fallen in love again.
Accesorize eyeshadow
This is the only Accesorize eyeshadow I have but I will definitely be buying more.Mine is in shade 7 golden caramel. This one is just a lovely shimmery everyday natural, sweep over the lid kind of colour. LOVE IT.

Maybelline color sensational lip tint
Then finally sometimes this month I just haven't been in the mood for lipgloss or lipstick. Then I found my Maybeline color sensational lip pen in 105 Tender rose. It is very pretty and it lasts for ages.

So these are my may favourites I hope you liked it. Hopefully the sun will stay a little longer for June.

How I get rid of spots quickly

Panoxyl acnegel is a product I just could not live without. I used it when I used to have a big problem with spots and it really did make a massive difference.I have never actually had acne but I have had problems with spots. Using this in my skincare routine really helped clear my skin. Now I do still get spots, especially around that time of the month. So whenever i felt a spot coming on or I have a spot. I pop this on and by morning it has gone or has significantly reduced in size.

I have it in 5% benzoyl peroxide but I would recommend 2.5% for your first try because it is quite drying and if you only get spot occasionally it will be a shock how strong it is. It is a clear gel that you rub into the skin. I apply it over my moisturiser because I have dry to normal skin, so that way it isn't so drying.

I get mine from Boots pharmacy and I think that you can just get it from just about any pharmacy. I hope this helps you !!!!

Aussie miracle hair insurance review

I have gone through 3 of these Aussie miracle hair insurance spray because I absolutely love it. It contains jojoba seed oil which is a great moisturiser. It smells lovely I always get complements when I have this in my hair. It really does detangle the hair and helps your brush get rid of the knots.

Now I don't know for sure if it does protect my hair but I do know that I have hardly any split ends and obviously it could be down to do with the other products in my haircare routine but when I do run out and I don't use it for a few days until I get another. My hair doesn't feel as nourished and I do find a few split ends.

I put this in my hair when it is damp, after I have washed it. You don't wash this out, you live it in and then blow dry your hair or let your hair air dry. I definetly would recommended this product. You can get this from Boots, superdrug and I've seen it a few different supermarkets. It costs £4.49 and there usually on offer for 3 for £10 on Aussie products. I just love this product !!!!!

Liz Earle makeup

Yesterday, I found this in the letter box. I started looking inside and it got me quite excited. Liz Earle has started a makeup range! I absolutely love Liz Earle skincare and I hope I will love the makeup too. I have heard of the sheer skin tint before and I have read some good reviews. I think that it was her first makeup product she released. Anyway, here are some pictures of the new makeup products.

The products do look very nice. Hopefully in a few days I will be able to get my hands on some from John Lewis.

Have you tried any Liz Earle makeup? What did you think?

Little disclaimer : This post is not sponsored and I am not affiliated with Liz Earle. I just wanted to tell you about these products.

Getting ready for summer!!!

Now about 3 days ago, where I live in the UK. We had a little glimmer of sunlight and it got me in the mood to fake tan. I am very pale and I don't get a natural tan easily, so I usually just fake it. I've tried a few fake tans before, some were successful and some I ended up looking like a carrot! Then 3 days ago I found my St moriz and I remembered how much I love it.

Now the packaging isn't as nice as St tropez but the product inside is lovely. I have the mousse which isn't my favourite formulation of fake tan but still nice.

I use a tanning mitt to apply, to avoid orange hands and stop streaks. I am in love with the colour it is sooo natural but still gives a good tan. The only down side to this product is the smell. It is the strongest fake tan smell I have ever tried (very biscuity.)

The best thing about this product is that it is around £3. I got mine from home bargains, you can also get it from savers, fragrance direct and I have also seen it on eBay.

Nails: NARS schiap nail polish

I'm not really a big fan of pink usually, but recently I have really been loving it more and more. So when I rediscovered this nail polish, I couldn't resist putting it on. Schiap is a dark fuchsia pink and I love it.
I have very brittle nails so I have to use a base coat or else my nail varnish tends to look terrible. I just use the Boots own base coat and it works fine.
Please excuse how messy they are, I was in a rush and well there wasn't any time to tidy them up.

Soap & glory A great kisser review

There are three flavour lip balms in this range, chocolate cherry, juicy peach and sweet coconut. Chocolate cherry and juicy peach are tinted, chocolate cherry is as the name suggests a cherry colour and juicy peach is a peachy pink. Sweet coconut is clear with just a hint of shimmer.

I have juicy peach which I love. I have been wearing it almost everyday for 3 weeks. I bought mine from boots for £5.

The packaging is lovely like all of the soap and glory packaging. It is a great size so I can just throw it in my handbag and use on the go.

The smell is amazing it smells like an exotic peach punch. The colour is sheer but leaves a lovely natural colour. The texture is a little sticky if you dab it onto the lips, but I've found that if you smooth it onto the lips, then it isn't sticky at all. It also moisturises very well, of course i wouldn't say that it will cure severly chapped lips but it does keep your lips moisturised and keep them smooth and soft.
